L510 Greek Word Studies An enlightening and edifying study of the colorful word pictures portrayed by key Greek terms in the New Testament. Students learn that the language in which the doctrines of our faith were originally penned contains a richness and depth that cannot be conveyed in English Bible translations. The instructor explains facts about Koine Greek (the language of the New Testament), how the meaning of Greek words is determined, and the significance of divine inspiration in regard to individual word studies. Among the dozens of Greek terms examined are eight distinct terms portraying different types and degrees of love and eighteen different words for sin. 2 credits. |
