L101 Greek I, Sem 1
Following Goetchius’s The Language of the New Testament as a textbook and doing the exercises found in its accompanying workbook, students learn the basic grammar of Koine Greek. Greek I lays the basic grammatical foundation employed in Greek II (L503, 504) to explore the Greek New Testament. The course seeks to remove the linguistic barriers between the student and the best manuscripts of the Greek New Testament in order to facilitate sound Biblical exegesis. 8 credits. Prerequisites: two semesters; and superior grammar ability.
